
Online Rummy games are most played by the tennegers during this pandemic.Rummy is a group of card games notable for gameplay based on the matching of similar playing cards and it involves more skill and mental ability to play.Supreme court on its judgment says rummy is Game of skill and its not Game of chance. A game of skill or game of wits is a game where the outcome is determined mainly by mental or physical skill, rather than chance.Rummy is all about card shuffling, coin flipping and dice rolling. This is fully automated by Random Number Generator (RNG) software which is tested and verified by an international lab well known for evaluating card shuffling on factors like unpredictability, non-repeatability and uniform distribution. But some time these games become more addictive to players and use to play by investing more money on this gaming platform, when the player continually loss huge amount they get mettally stressed and commit suicide. Day to day the suicide get increseas during this pandamic, due to increase number of death Tamilnadu government promulgate an ordinance on November 20 to ban online gambiling and rummy sites ,the ordinance amends The Tamilnadu Gaming Act 1930.The ordinance brought huge changes to Tamilnadu Gaming Act 1930 such as amendment in definitions and sections and also omitted certain sections.In section 2 of Tamilnadu Gaming Act 1930 defines common gaming houses which includes cyber cafes which means where gaming or gambling activities can take place if such act take place then the owning, managing, or funding person for a space used for gaming punishable by imprisonment of up to five years and fine of up to ₹5,000. Such spaces now include as cyber cafes as per the ordinance and the evidence for cyber cafes can be electronic records,computer,computer network and any other communication device. Any wagering or betting in cyberspaces using computer and any other communication device used for playing rummy, poker or any other online betting games they will be liable for two years imprisonment or fine upto Rs. 10,000 or both and also it bans on electronic transfer of funds used for wagering or betting distributing the winning prize money will be punished.In case the company commit offences and its proved they are guilty they are punishable under this act.
